Leonardo Martin Dias
Strategic Sustainability Advisor
Leonardo Martins Dias designs and carries out sustainability projects. He is currently studying a Master’s degree in Sustainable Urban Development Sciences at the University of Oxford. He has a degree in Business Management from the Universidad Fluminense Federal, and an in-company Master’s degree in Business Management from Esade. He has accumulated more than 26 years of global responsibilities in multinationals where he also sets up and manages alliances, and projects with people residing in degraded urban areas and in rural areas. The ‘Sustainable Supply Chain’ project that he carried out for Telefónica & O2 was recognised by the Dow Jones Sustainability Index as a global best practice.
His lecture entitled ‘Putting people first’, at the United Nations conference on sustainable development ‘Rio+20’, came first in the UN public vote. As a professor (undergraduate and graduate) of different subjects related to sustainability, he regularly collaborates with universities such as the University of Berkeley, the Polytechnic University of Madrid, the School of Industrial Organisation, and the Universidad Externado de Colombia, among others. Leonardo is a Fellow of the United Nations Consultative Body ‘Lead International’, of St. Catherine’s College at the University of Oxford, and of the ‘Centre for Innovation in Technology for Human Development’ itdUPM.
